Isn't the whole point of moving out, far away, and getting your own job to get independence? Obviously not, according to my brother. Yesterday I found out my mother was doing his laundry, then he hauled her around to Costco to pick up necessities, to Save on Foods for groceries, and he even packed up a case of spaghetti, macaroni, and RICE to take back up the mountain. What the fuck?!? It's like five bucks for spaghetti, you're telling me that you can't pick that up since you have a job and all? And you call yourself a MAN??? I wouldn't be so pissed off if he hadn't spurted off a "And you call yourself a FOOD TECHNOLOGIST???" When I had taken a four liter jug of orange juice out of the fridge and placed it on the counter. There was already ANOTHER jug of OJ in the fridge, and I was in the middle of putting HIS DAMN GROCERIES in the fridge and since no one except for him drinks the shit, I thought, maybe we could take one out since they're taking up half a shelf. No, I didn't read the label, so I didn't know it had to be refridgerated. Anyways, how the HELL does taking something out of the fridge conclude that I am not a GD Food Technologist??? It feels like he's envious I had proudly handed my new business card to him after work. He didn't know what I did, didn't know my "title" basically until I had given him the card. I was really excited about them...I didn't expect that my work would have made me some, but apparently they did...they like me, they really really like me! Yep. Just needed to get that off my chest. Now i'm off to a guitar show with Mark. I'm late!
Interesting series of days. Last Sunday, me and Mark went to Granville Island to enjoy the sun and take in some art....it was a refreshing day, with a free ballet show, unique pottery and crafts, and a visit to a workshop which specializes in guitar making. Then today we stopped by the Croatian cultural center which was rented out to a guitar show... also very refreshing as you could feel all the energies from the artists, craftsmen, and guitar enthusiasts as you took in the exhibits. It is good to have these two days of memories. It's hard sometimes to keep your mind "excited" about things... and then you have days like this where people are *really* into what they are doing, enjoying succeeding in their craft, their talent, and just having fun. I'm feeling menstral and have eaten some bad things nto show it. I betcha i'm a couple pounds heavier. sigh.
