Half an hour left before I head out to Food Suppliers night in Richmond. It'll be nice to see some old classmates again, as well as free shrimp cocktail, free buffet, and other freebies like the usual pens, flashlights, keychains, and samples. It'll be a wholesome day. I can just feel it. My dad just came home from HK this afternoon, and it is good to see him again. perhaps some normalcy will return to my life since he likes to run on a schedule. I dunno about you, but i kind of plan my night around family dinner... which usually takes place at six-ish. So it's been a little wierd with my mother's eight o'clock dinners and my siblings ....any time dinners. Normalcy. We all need it. At least a little bit. hehe. My dad was watching news in the other room about the million dollar mistake on tv, and I hear my mother exclaim, "Million dollar? Is it a new bill?" heh. She cracks me up.
So anyways..something I didn't write about when it happened. Almost a year ago, this friend of mine tells me that he had liked me for a year, and did not know about Mark. I guess I was kind of flattered but I have no feelings of that sort for this fellow. It was awkward the next time I saw him. I ended up telling Mark. Mark, who has it bad with names. I remember him walking up to some random friend of mine who he thought was the guy and saying something like "This is my girlfriend." It was an odd two seconds before I chortled out, "uhh...Hi! Mark, this is XXXXXX, XXXXXX, this is Mark. haha..." Gratefully, the other guy didn't know what happened...so no confrontation occurred. That cracks me up too. Gotta get going.
