I DID do work on the weekend. But I finished NOTHING. How can this be?!? It all comes down to three things: preparation, knowledge, perserverence. I had NONE of those this weekend. 1) preparation. I opened my pasteurization lab and found that I *still* did not have the class data necessary to do the lab. So I emailed everyone on Saturday. Sunday comes along...and I only had one response: Min. I think he's the only one in the class that actually responds to my emails. 2) Knowledge. This is always the case with process systems labs. I am always scratching my head, with the best intention of finishing the lab when I pick it up...but THEN. I realize that I do not understand a critical point, cannot derive the formula, do not realize a substitution..and then, I cannot complete that lab either. 3) perserverence. Many good intents fail because of lack of perserverence. And after not finishing two attempts at homework before, it is all the more easier to quit at another report. At least I'm not in denial. Canucks played horribly tonight. I don't know what they were thinking, I don't know IF they were thinking. That was pretty damn sad watching the game to to 7-2 Minnesota Wild. Crap. I mean, the Wild are a meticulous team. You give them ONE chance, One opportunity, flub up, and they take the game and SCHOOL ya. The players were playing as particles rather than a unit. Show some teammanship, guys. On another note, I got an unexpected phone call today from a potential employer for an application I submitted last week. I don't really want the job. I just want money. ...it's not a particularly appealing job, but I applied because I didn't get call backs from the five other jobs I applied for. It would be great experience, but on the down side, there goes my summer. Literally. This place is known and advertised to be open 24/7, and quite often, you have to work seven days a week. yes...it's a seasonal position. Just a little plug, here is Roan, even though he will not be writing anymore. (yeah...we all know how THAT goes. ;) and here is Bao-tao heh. Do I want to stay up all night? I could. But I won't. ~11:47pm.
