10:30 pm and feeling good. I have an exceptional opportunity at working with two veterans in the industry, one the guest instructor, the other his partner. Both have been in the food industry for years, and know many people... it's a good crowd. So anyways part of me is elated like hell (i start on tuesday) and part of me is mournful. So much for my short-lived summer, but then again it is and will be a valuable, valuable resource and experience. I'll take it. This summer will be now full of work, down time at the beach, and less working out than I had thought. Also will be Dragonboat. The good part is that I get to "make" my own hours, and it's M-F, 7-4pm. This makes it possible for me to also participate with Dragonboat!! SCORE!!! :p Bad part is that I'll probably be getting a horrible driver's tan because the commute is 45 minutes each way, in GOOD traffic. uggh. I'll tell you what I really think at the end of summer. Last night Mark and I dined heartily on healthy, scrumptious food. An amazing compose` salad with spinach, fresh parsley, HB egg, broccoli rabe, ripe tomatoes, green pepper, and cucumber. Also a spicy peanut noodle salad with carrots, cucumber, spinach and rice noodles, and snapper filets, sauteed in a sauce of green pepper, chilli, cream, butter, black pepper, and lemon. Mmmmmm. I want some more. We also finished (and started off) with vanilla ice cream and fresh mango, then after dinner with some mango ice cream and fresh mango. Oh my GOD that was a good dinner. Also had some Riesling, courtesy of the BCIT JERK association. Life is good.
