Today was a goooood day! I actually woke up at five am. Yes...5:00 AM. I had set my alarm for the wrong time, but my internal clock woke me up and slapped me around.

Alas, I was a wuss and didn't increase my lunge weights, instead, my back paid 3 extra kilos for my lazy glutes.

Wrote my QC exam at 8:30, that went gooood. I am confident on a B...I hope...then COMM. Now...everyone was happy before communications class. But afterwards was a different story. We got a couple assignments back, and Miss P3nny knew that we had it in for her, so she left THAT portion of the class until the very end. She even explained different categories she had marked down on, and much to our dismay, said that range from the three different assignments were from: 40-70%, 47-93%, and 40-88%. Holy CRAP! That's low for a COMM class...I thought that my marks would have been lower because she had said it so plainly.. she was looking at me while she was explaining it too, but I got average marks on it.

Many people were not at all pleased with their mark, but didn't get a chance to talk to her because she basically booked it after she handed the marks back at the end of the class. One loudly voiced opinion was "That P3nny is a muthaf*ck!" Among others.

Basically I think it's like this. Yes she is nit-picky on very small details and inconsistent in what she teaches and what she actually marks on. But also I think some assignments were sloppy or half-assed (myself partially included which is why I didn't loudly complain as well). And I don't think this course has the same respect as many of the other courses in our curriculum, so the basic consensus was that this was going to be a "bird course".

However. I think the bottom line is that thte instructor should stick to what they preach, and Miss F@rl3y has been preaching on and on, is CONSISTENCY. She should practice her own gospel.

Man we should have listened to the comments on Rate my Professor and RAN! ;p Some possible comments after today's catastrophe:

1) "Evil Students. ahahhaaaa."
2) I hear she eats nails and little boys for breakfast.
3) You do what she says and get zero.
4) You do what she doesn't say and still get zero.
5) If I had a Penny for every time someone complained about her...I'd be miserable.
6) Run..FAST. She talks like a politician.

Helen, Greg, Rav and Jerry were kind enough to throw me a "surprise" lunch for my birthday. Dude.. i'm only eighteen and it's early! ;p There was pizza, and balloons, and spinach dip and chips and candles...on a cake that I baked myself..ahaha...yes. They TRICKED me! But I figured a little when Helen was so eager to stall me by taking me out to buy batteries. Thanks guys, and thank you for putting up with me yesterday.

They were discussing it while I had walked away during lunch yesterday...and when I came back and DEMANDED to know what they were talking about, they were speechless. You can't blame them though...Jerry is a bad liar :) I think he held on even when I threatened to beat him down in the parking lot before he drove me home. hehe.

I feel really badly for kicking Gene when he fell asleep during Gary's Process Systems lecture. I didn't know that he was lacking sleep, stressing over exams, and ill with the flu bug. I just thought it would be funny to kick a sleeping Gene...

Real friends tolerate this side of me. ;|

What else. Yesterday we bottled our delicious Johannisburg Riesling wine, slightly fruity, nice finish, slightly dry aftertaste. Beautiful clarity..nice thin legs. yum. We had to be careful of mongers and scavengers today because a couple of our fine bottles disappeared before we even distributed them amongst ourselves, nevermind the class.

Also our B&B beer was sampled, ours was moderately creamy, not too "hoppy", had a nice, balanced flavour of barley, "darkness", and an almost coffee-like richness. Also no sediment, good rich colour, rich head.

After drinking a number of samples of BCIT beer and commercial beer (Rickards Red, Dos Equis, Guinness, some discusting cherry beer, and..well...my memory seems to be shot.) ...After sampling, I was very happy and thought up a skit for MADtv or SNL: (here is a prime example of my sick humor) Siamese twins joined at the head who are used at num-chucks for their superhero dad. hehehe. ok so it's not funny now but yesterday when I was going home after some wine and beer, the images in my head made me crack up so happily that I almost started crying.

You know what. I guess me and Mark's "official" 2nd year anniversary is coming up. We actually have two...one in January, one in March..but it is not a "commercialized" occasion for us. January is when we met, March is when we went out.. and the rest is history. Because March is such a busy month (both his mom and dad's birthdays, also his birthday and my birthday), we forgo an outlandish celebration and opt for "togetherness".

Well I do. It's not the material of worldly means, but rather the substance and strength of a relationship that makes it what it is. The longing of the heart.

He asked me tonight if I miss him, then speculated whether I just respond that I do as a "reaction". Of course not, I replied, for "the longer I go without seeing you, the more I miss you, and tomorrow, or the day afterwards, is not soon enough."

Yeah. I'm cheesey. But he likes that too.

Dontcha?
