I ended up dining with Mark B, Ewa, Roan and Mike. Conversation over dessert at Bread Garden:

My Mark (MM): [takes a bite of my chocolate mousse cheesecake] Hmm. This tastes just like pudding.
Mark B (MB): [quick as hell] Nothing's good enough for you, Mark.
Ewa: [quicker] Except for Jessica..
MM: [quicker still] Jessica's too good for me.
Roan: Wow. Mark, you're smooth.
MM: Not as smooth as this pudding.

Hehe. What a smooth, cheesey-sweet dork.

Dinner was planned for seven at Boston Pizza on Kingsway. We get there, to a third-filled restaurant, and are told that we'd have to wait a half hour. "How could that possibly be??"

Mark goes to find out. Ends up that their systems are crashed, and they're finding out how to fix it, and thus they do not want to seat more patrons, nor can they write manual receipts. ????

Dude. They have some serious problems there; 1) they didn't even tell us in the first place what the problem was, 2) they probably *couldn't* fix it within half an hour, 3) they were giving attitude all the while and did not bother to apologize for any inconvenience whatsoever, 4) no one took any INITIATIVE into making anything easier for people waiting for tables, nor for people finished eating and waiting to pay their bill. It was ridiculous...and so we left for Earls.

MUCH better. Steaks were $2 off, so Mark B ordered a NY steak, Mike had steak sandwich, Ewa had a chicken / rib combo, Roan gnocchi with chicken ragu, and me and Mark shared a cajun chicken and rib combo with asparagus and rosemary mashed potatoes. Mmmmm. Good food, good service. Actually there were a lot of staff working there that were alumni of our high school.

ok. Too tired. Have bodypump class in the morning. later doods.
