I have nine things to do. Hopefully, by the time this day is out, I'll have only 7 to do. ...working on Heat Transfer, will start beer soon. *hopefully*. I've been a little cross lately. Short tempered, anyone? Especially this morning. Went for some congee and noodles at First Avenue, and all of a sudden, a black cloud set up shop above my head when my brother finished the *last* of the congee that I ordered. SHIT! And it's 12:20 (lunch) right now and I still want food. I think it has to do with not enough sleep either, so that could be a factor to my grouchiness. My workout yesterday morning was lacking. I didn't want to load up because my calves were still killing from my *intermediate* step workout on wednesday. Yes...after I found out that my body fat had gone down, I was cocky enough to go upstairs for a step 2 class. What a fool I am. I even took extra risers for my step. ...not one, but TWO friggin' risers...and I even attempted to do some of the extra hard "power" moves. So now, on Saturday, three days later, I am still paying for it with this horrible pain in both my calves. heh. Ok. Done heat transfer, on to Beer. mmm...beer. Glenda asked me what a "beer lab" was. It is the actual beer lab written report for a couple week's of labs where we produced a dark "stout-ish" beer. It was ..goooood. :) Wahooo!!! 11:17 pm and I am done for tonight. Beer is done and HT for process systems is also done. I also completed my weekly report for Directed studies, so... Homework list:
I am contemplating whether or not I should visit the gym tomorrow morning. I know I will be going on Monday morning for a class, but tomorrow's workout will be determined by whether my calves are finished being whining pussies (aka they stop being sore). Oh...also by if I wake up in time or not. Yesterday was our weekly JERK meeting. Unfortunately, Rav couldn't make it. We went out after school to the annual auto show at BC Place. BABY...it was BEAUTIFUL!! I haven't had that much fun in so long. We walked for miles and crashed a couple cars...but it was ok. :) I also got kicked out of a Mercedes convertible because it was "for show" only. pooie on Mercedes Benz for kicking out a potential shopper! Harrrumph! The perfect (but long) day was finished by a scrumptious, warming dinner at Hang Mo Jip (sp? Helen?) on Robson. It was nine when we got in, and it was STILL packed. We had to line up for a table that we ended up sharing with two China girls. Of course, I jumped on the soybean small dish that came complimentary with the meal..we also ordered a spicy pork rib hot pot (that was big enough to serve four people, or one hungry Jerry), seafood pajon, and spicy seafood tofu. Oh my goodness it was sooooo good to have rice. I don't think I've had good rice since my mother was in Shanghai. Even on the day she came back, I made fish and chips, so there was no rice...minus the night where my dad took us out to East Ocean on Broadway and we had "bo ji" fan with lap cheong and veg and salted duck...I remember me and my dad sighing after we finished our delicious scented rice and nodding, just nodding at each other because we KNEW, siliently, that it was the best rice in...forever! ;p Back to Hang Mo Jip. Awesome grub dude!!! Jerry said while we were waiting for food, "this place...is so cool! ...I feel like I'm in Korea!" After about five minutes, Helen goes, "Yeah..I like this place. It's like Korea." Heh. Yep. We were pretty darn hungry, and our brains / reflexes / ears were not working properly. The food was good, reasonable prices, good service (we had one fellow who kept on calling Helen "Ma'am") and I most DEFINITELY loved the complimentary sides. Actually the place kind of reminded me of James, this friend-turned-BF-turned-absentee- turned-friend again. It was interestingly nostalgic. Mark B has invited me and my Mark out to dinner tomorrow night. I want to go, but I really need some downtime / chillaxing time, plus my pocketbook thinks I'm a tyrant for all the times I've raped it this week. Let's see. Safeway chicken run, $19. E Bei for two, $50. Lunch with Gramps, ~$6. Safeway fish and chips run, $16. Midnight ice cream run, $4. Auto show, $10, nummy Corean food, $19. Grand total for this past week, $124. Holy crap. That's my budget for three bloody weeks!!!! I'll run the idea by Mark and see. *sigh* Well. It is now 11:38pm and I am pooped.... I need sleep if I don't want to be a grouch tomorrow. Sweet dreams and goodnight!
