Last night at the BCFT Suppliers Night: Jessica: Excuse me, can she [elbows Helen in the gut] get some hair nets please? Supplier Representative (SR): Sure. How many would you like? Helen: [Jess you g*d*mn dork!] Uhh...one please.SR: I'll give you three. *smiles cheesey smile* H: thanks! Rav: [Struts up and puts her hand on the table] Heh. Yeah, I'll have three. SR: I'll give you one. [They stare at each other for about three seconds.] Rav: [Under breath] b@stard. heh. Ok...so there was slight exageration there. But it was all good. My bag was so heavy by the end of it that both snap-together plastic handles had broken. We all stocked up on free fancy keychains, free spice samples (like lamb rubs, paprikas, spice blends), free water, free candies and chocolate, pens, clips, bookmarks, teas, lip balm, soap, hand sanitizers, and loads of pamphlets and business cards. woohoo!! I LOVE free stuff. Helenne*, Rav and I also won door prizes..an umbrella each for Helen and I, and Rav won a bottle of white wine. We also dined on shrimp cocktail, sandwiches, hot roast ham, pickles, cheeses and fruit. It was SO worth the ten dollars man!! *sigh* Afterwards we went out for bubble tea at errm..."bobo". :) These were HUGE bubble teas, ~1 liter, for only $3! Our table slowly "grew" as other patrons left. Even afterwards, me and Mark went out to see Shanghai Knights at Silvercity. One of those movies you just feel like seeing, know? We were tired anyways, and it was too late to go out to his house, so we just relaxed and took in some Jacky Chan. Good movie, still gotta love Jacky. For a comedy, I give it a 7.5 / 10. Made some orange sponge cake in the afternoon. No workout today. It rained for the better part of the day, and I stayed inside, on the computer, in the tv room, in my own room...I only went out to take out the garbage and to drop off my recycling. Lucky Hellen*...she has gone out to Rob Feenie's Lumiere on Broadway. I'm waiting for a review! Mmm. Didn't I say there were pictures?? Yes. And again, they are very old, and any other pictures will be very far in the future as our camera is being fixed..and we all know how long things take to get fixed around here. These are from Ewa's birthday in January. We started out at Rubgy's Beach Club Grille on Broadway, a little past Oak. Neat layout, liked the decor and the atmosphere. You got your choice of starch, veg, and MEAT. If you try it out, PLEASE try the grilled ahi tuna and the apple tart. I like that.
![]() Here is what my friends Mark and Ewa do when I ask them to "get closer". Niiice. Is THAT what happens when you get married?!
Afterwards, we went to Old Orchard to do some bowling (and also spotted some ghetto-fabulous eye- candy one lane over)!
From Chinese New Year at Crystal Mall:
And I had pictures of the funny pants with nikes and reeboks, but my *great* brother deleted all of those.
