So it's 11:11 pm. Mellow neurotic. I didn't have to go to school today until 10:30 since we have alternate week ELEX labs, so instead, i went to school at 9:30 to do some research for my directed studies project. One hour of research gave me...ONE JOURNAL ARTICLE!!!! I was not happy with that. How can BCIT, the so-called best Technology school in British Columbia, and for some programs, Canada, be lacking so much? There was no information regarding paneer. There was no information regarding "binding agents" and "meat analogues". I was searching for an hour, got five or six good article descriptions out of the electronic catalogue, and yet there was nothing on the shelves. oy.. Native Art photos are up. All are from Mark's collection. I love the raven with the black onyx eye. There's more but I haven't photographed or posted them. hmm...Today I got out early but happened to get home just half an hour earlier than I would have originally. . . .went to research again. This time I looked up more specific binding agents, TVP, rapeseed protein, and flax seed protein. I think I might be going for the latter.
So. Helenasks me at lunch if I would like to have a barbeque in the summer. lol I thought this was a little peculiar...I was like.."uhh...yeah....but it's January right now." I guess we just all love food. We're planning to ring in the Chinese New Year with some delicious hot pot!! hehe. Jerry was telling me about how having parties and potluck dinners were the "perfect" way to get rid of old food. It made me laugh..because I know he would and has probably done this. He told me about how took some old chicken that was in his freezer for the longest time, and he made marinated chicken legs and gave them to people. "They LOVED it!! [insert gaspy giggling here] They asked me for the recipe and if I could make more!!! I said, sure!!!" Ah Jerry. Oh..he also calls his little sister "bitchy-mon". (you know...pokemon and his pmsing sister bitchymon?) Ok. Well tomorrow will be a huge day. At the gym at seven for an hour and a half, back home at eight, shower and eat for half an hour, work on my directed studies for three hours. Mark picks me up at noon, we stop by some car dealerships, Chinatown, videostore...he SAYS we'll be at his house by 3:45. HA. I live in Burnaby, Chinatown is in Vancouver, his house is in West Vancouver. And we'll be taking the Lions' Gate Bridge at rush hour? Gimme a break mark. It ain't happening. I will finally see "The Princess Bride" tomorrow. I"m kinda excited. Everyone I ask who's seen it says it's great. A comedy built around Billy Crystal, Fred Savage, Andre the Giant.. sounds good to me. G'nite. it's 11:56 now. I slacked off while writing this. |
