I am tired. I seriously WILL sleep after this entry. It was hard to wake up this morning at 5:30 to get to the gym for my workout, and I was reluctant to get out of bed. Mark's car had a flat tire last night, and of all things that he did not have, he didn't have the crank to get the "bolts" out of his flat. And the car was too crippled to get me home, and being that it was ten at night, it wasn't the easiest thing to find either. We ended up driving slowly over to his parent's house and borrowing some tools to change the tire. So I got to bed at half past midnight. Slept for four hours, got up to workout..it was a half-assed attempt, but at least I did it. I went for easy sets and small weights. *sigh* I'll have to kick my own ass on wednesday or tomorrow. Was so tired that I actually managed to fall asleep during a fifteen minute break in between Analysis and ELEX. I finally saw the first part of Harry Potter last night. It wasn't excellent, but it was very good as far as a family movie. I liked it. 7.5/10 for special effects, scenary, cuteness, and creativity. I didn't like the stock characters and the acting. Also had the chance to have some nummy chicken samosas on Dunbar! 604-732-4999 Only tried the chicken samosa, but it was so good that we ordered four more to take home. He gave us a deal..and that was nice...That's where good business sense comes in. Give your customers more than they ask for, and you win their business. The samosas were larger than I expected, and very meaty. Plus no garbage-y starchy filler or anything. (Can't say the same for the veggie samosa, I didn't try it.) Also stopped by Kerrisdale and strolled around for a while in the crisp afternoon sun. Excellent customer service in Buchan's stationary and card stop too...they sell all sorts of little decorative cards, stationary, office supplies, pretty trimmings, and scrapbooking materials. I have to stop by sometime after...I get a job. ;p The store is family owned and operated, and the owner was there herself helping us out. Friendly, smiley, and very knowledgeable. *sigh*. I have only one thing due tomorrow, but four more later on this week, and two exams next week. I can't wait for spring break. 10:12 p.m. Finally got that nap in. Know what else is new? My brother is like a child. Didn't come home until a couple minutes ago, and made my sister cry by kicking her off the computer. She had to finish homework, due tomorrow and he kicked her off until they physically started fighting...yes this is my 14 year old sister and my TWENTY SIX year old brother. What the HELL huh? geez. Anyways so far he has come by twice to harass her to get off the computer.
As he came into the window ~Smooth Criminal lyrix I have had this song in my head all day. Gotta love the rythym and funky guitar. It was a sunny day..I got into the car this morning and found that water had veined itself into a feathery, crystalline design. Nature is so simply beautiful. I looked at the crystals and smiled, not wanting them to go away, then we drove into the sun and they disappeared. It reminds me of a poem Mark wrote me way back when:
.... I drift in silence just thinking.
So quietly I wonder in mid winter
While the sun upon my every direction It was a poem not about himself, but about me at that time. It is a story of a snowflake, drifting, meandering without direction, ever changing movement.. I worried, I pondered, I cried because I did not know what I was to become, but before the snowflake could worry more, it had melted into the world.
