I went rock climbing again today. My hands are dry and chapped and covered with small cuts now. Funny how perserverance and love for a sport will make me do that to my beloved hands.

We got out of class early today because it was the last day of class, so I sat around for a while and studied for Pools and Rec. When I got to the wall for free climb, the first thing I noticed was that the 5.9 climb that I finally tackled last week was sadly gone.

Rest in Peace

She'll be reincarnated.

Anyways I was a little disappointed to find that all that was left was ~4 easier top rope climbs, and the plaster had been arranged to form a series of bouldering routes.

I have nothing against bouldering other than I am SUCKY at it. I managed to do the V0 which is probably an equivalent of a 5.7, and started out on a couple V1's. Read: Started. I am not good at plain smearing since my upper body strength to body weight ratio is not up to par with many climbers.

Maybe it is the shoes though...

I cannot believe that term 1 is over. Time flies not when you are having fun, but rather when you are busy. I have so many memories of Food Tech, it's almost like I spent a year in each term or something.

Meanwhile, I could probably say that I "really" spent a month in the program I'm in now since I'm not having fun, but am sincerely busy..

I talked to my boss regarding a contract position that came in an email from my instructor last week. She offered me some options, and namely it'll be that, since the posting came from an agency, the agency will get a cut, my company will get a cut, and I'll be working through the holidays. That is, if my proposal that my boss graciously helped me with is accepted by the agency.

Consulting has its' plusses, however. Initially the template my boss called up had figures like a hundred dollars per hour for services rendered, travel expenses and such extra. Not bad. Not bad at all.

Maybe I'll write my BOC's for Enviro Health, go out and get some experience, and become a consultant myself. That would seriously rock. Culinary Arts, Food Technology, and Environmental Health. Cool.

So much blissful, wishful thinking.
