Yes my dears. It is the day AFTER game 7, where the comeback Canucks have defeated the St. Louis Blues after the Blues took a 3-1 lead in the series!! It was a GOOOOD game. If it was an S&M skit, the Vancouver Canucks would have been the sexy domanatrix while St. Louis Blues moaned for some air. I was very happy after the game...the last time The Canucks made it through to round 2 of the playoffs was eight years ago, and the last time they were a significant part of the playoffs was of course in 1993/1994 season. I was 14, I watched the games and then pulled all nighters to finish my homework, and I loved. every. single. moment. of. it. So last night a lot of memories came back to me. I remember going to the "fan appreciation" day in BC Place Stadium after our team came back from New York. I went with Kim Jascke. She was my best bud. I remember the amazing team led by Trevor Linden, including players Pavel Bure, Dave Babych, Jurki Lumme (sp?), Cliff Ronning, Nathan Lafayette, Geoff Courtnall, coached by a heavier Pat Quinn. Sadly, coach Quinn's team didn't make it in this year. But my Canucks did!!! wooohooooo!!!! I am not hoping for the Stanley Cup, although that would be *very* nice. I'm not even hoping for round 3. I am just VERY happy that we got into round 2. We fought tooth and nail and came back from an embarassing game 1, overcoming a 3-1 series to win the big game 7. We were *seriously* domineering. yeeehaa. Did you know that I am worth $1,541,344.00? So it is 9:22pm and I am procrastinating from homework... still to do?
1) Evapouration lab I have the nitrogen / ammonia lab loaded up. I just don't want to go figure it out. Kind of embarassing that I don't remember how to plot a logorithmic graph on its' side and get the equation. *sigh* Today was a day of running around. Panic about where the car was. Forget to run an errand. Be late for a meeting. It was slightly stressful. Ok. What do YOU think? Yesterday morning I come in late to Business class and the first thing that happens is M!ke stands up, walks to the back of the class where I'm sitting, and throws down a stack of loose papers. I'm puzzled, and I reach for the paper. He sees the look on my face and says something like, "proofread it for me." Instantaneously, my lip curled and I could feel my heartbeat speeding up, but instead of telling him off, I mumbled something like, "why don't you give it to somebody ELSE?" First off, I didn't appreciate him not even saying "hi," "how are you?" "goodmorning" first...instead, he just plops down his damn 40 page report for me to proofread at the drop of a dime?!? Secondly, I'm pretty sure that his master C0lleen didn't have to do this tedious task. Third, Yeah, buddy. I have nothing BETTER to do than to read your boring crap. Who am I anyways? Your best friend? Your work slave? jezuz. Then today I dropped back into school after my meeting with my sponsor and I was asking N@v and R@tna *explicitly* if they could participate in a last-minute sensory analysis for me. As in, "R@tna, sorry for bothering you, but could use you in my sensory for the patties again? It'll be tomorrow." And from a corner of the lab I hear M!ke's voice say something nasty and child-like, "ewww. Count me out. I don't want any paneer patties!" Umm yeah. I was really asking you anyways. *huge eye roll* I've clocked 8 hours already this week on my directed studies project. Not bad, considering it's a short week and it's also the last week. Can't you tell I'm just cramming the hours in? I guess this could be making up for last week's measly 2.5 hours. anyhow. Guess I better get back to analysis homework.
