I have been trying to get to sleep for the past half hour. I guess I'm just not tired yet. It's only eight, after all.

When I am *wanting* to take a nap, I usually try to relax and breathe deep...when that does not work, I put the covers tight over my head and try it again.

Yes. That's right, I try to smother myself to sleep. It actually works a lot. And anyways, in your sleep, if you cannot breathe, you WILL remove the covers anyways.

haaah.

Today was an early start, at 5:15a.m., chowing down half a soy protein bar and half a banana. Then it was an hour of Bodypump and half of cardio:

Warmup: 1 pair large plates
Squats: 1 pair large plates + 1 pair small plates
Chest: 1 pair large plates for presses, 1 pair med plates for flies
Back: 1 pair large plates + 1 pair small plates
Triceps: 1 pair med plates + 1 pair small plates for presses & nosebreakers, 1 med plate for french extension
Biceps: 1 pair med plates
Lunges: 2 pair med plates
Shoulders: 1 pair med plates
+ plus abs and stretching

Cardio: Stairmaster, 20 minutes starting at level 10 then realizing I'm too cocky for my own good, and lowering it down to level 5
Elliptical trainer, 10 minutes, level 8

Jerry, Helen, Gene and I sat down for some dim sum at Big Lai's Palace on Kingsway and Willingdon, then watched a matinee of "Anger Management".

VERY affordable grub.. would go there again. 60 cent tea charge, dim sum is $2.30 per dish. No matter small, medium or big. (!!!!) Everything is very affordable, old-style Chinese dim sum with steam carts and plastic table "cloths" and huge pieces of tripe.

The movie was okay, but I would still watch it again because I'm an Adam Sandler fan. Gotta love that buddhist scene, as well as the Woody Harrelson cameos.

*chuckle*

I got into a conversation with Mark afterwards over a situation in the story. Everytime Sandler's character "Dave" questioned someone's actions or motives, he got the same response, "sir. PLEASE calm down."

And then the conversation somehow turned into a conversation regarding the comment towards a woman, "are you pms-ing??" or "are you on the rag?"

The issue was raised, about how it matters in the context, and the connotation, as well as the situation and the person asking this question, or making this remark. We hashed a few pointers:

- it can be construed as ignorant (why does THIS question come to mind rather than a simple "are you having a bad day?")
- when this question is raised, the person in question is perhaps *not* in a rational state of mind
- it is usually men that make this comment; women will SAY it in JEST
- it may hurt more or less if the person asking is a SO
- PMS is not something that one can CONTROL (like lack of sleep or a hangover)
- perhaps it can be a source of injury because of this, or because it signifies a "weakness" or "fault" of that individual

blah blah blah. PMS. It's ok for ME to say it, probably not best for you.
