Word of the day.
It was the most relaxing, amazing, laid-back day off. And
everything came on time as well.
It started with the promise of a long, hot, steamy day. First
I got all dolled up in my shexxxy denim halter top dress,
smoothed out the legs, lathered myself up with lotion..and
headed to school to settle some administrative work.
After that I met Ariane, my cousins' friend from Toronto. The
three of us actually headed out very early (as far as me and
my cousin go) and jumped on the skytrain headed for downtown
in hopes of getting some sightseeing done.
Unfortunately, the tours on the two-level trolleys that ran
through town were a little bit pricey -- $26.00 a pop. Nevermind,
right?
We were pretty much content shopping down Robson street, darting
in and out of shoe stores, jewellery stores and Virgin. We
even made it down to Stanley Park, where I got my much desired
"colour". Right now it's a bright odd shape where my dress
used to be. . . but I"m proud of it, nonetheless.
All in a good day...and I didn't even spend much. We had lunch
at Milestones and met up with John, a nice, "non-horny-bastard"
kinda guy who worked in a restaurant downtown and walked back
to Granville street with him. He did some of his shopping,
we did some with him as well...my cousin ended up with shoes
that she'd been coveting for -- forever, I got a bargain with
a reversible leather belt that was originally $28, but was
marked down to $9.95, then down to $4.95, then an additional
25% off.. and when I brought it up to the counter to pay, it
was at a whopping $1.68. Holy cow man!! That's a deal.
We got back to my second home (THE mall) to do some more
shopping..for jewellery. I actually saw another belt that I
wanted from Aldo accessories--i think I'll be getting that one
as well..it was one of those swarvarski-studded buckle ribbon
belts..pretty cool. There were only two left too! Ariane
bought a palette of eyeshadows and lipglosses for only $17
something....so in all, us three were totally smart shoppers.
My cousin and I wanted some *shoo-she* after that. (hehehe)
There was this all-you-can-eat place down at the other side
of the mall that was $11 / person. Unfortunately, when we got
there, we discovered that the all you can eat started at ten,
not nine as we thought.
shit
..And I didn't want to go upstairs to the noodle-congee place
for din, so the three of us ended up sitting outside underneath
the stars, talking and laughing and acting like old women and
young black guys for an hour.
hahahah. We were pretty damn hungry by ten. I swear, we scared
the people working there. We actually went in the restaurant
a little early and I was telling the waitress, "us three please"
and turned around to see that my cousin was already diving in
to the floating-boat sushi selection. haha. We totally pigged
out on chopped scallop cones, alaska rolls, tuna and cali
rolls. I'm feeling a little indigestion now as I type this.
So. After shu-she, we went our separate ways home. It's midnight
now.
Quite content with the day behind me, semi-looking forward to
work tomorrow. Strange, isn't it.
It was so nice to spend the day with them...talking, laughing
and telling stories....kind of like the magic in the eyes
yesterday. Magic is good.
